Soil properties

Current measured values ( 0:00 o'clock)

Important properties of a ground for the growth of plants are its temperature and its humidity. These measurement variables vary strongly from the location to location and the composition of the ground. Here the measurement location is under a lawn in two different height levels.

In this case temperature and humidity in 10 and 50 cm of depth are determined. Additional the air temperature near the ground surface is indicated.

Up to a humidity of approx. 20 cb a ground is regarded as moist. From 20 cb the ground desiccates and should be watered.

History

Course of the day

Only in the upper layers of soil variations are to be observed in the measured values. Only the temperature in 10 cm shows a day cycle. Here in comparison with the temperature at the surface:

Last days and last month

In the month comparison between the single measurement heights one sees the consistency in the deeper level.
